FlowSense ("the App", "we", "our") is a menstrual cycle tracking application developed by Ateaf Aminuddin. This privacy policy explains how FlowSense handles your information.
The short version: FlowSense does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device.
Information we do not collect. FlowSense does not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, IP address, advertising identifier, or any other personally identifiable information. The App does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporting services, or social-media integrations. We do not have a server that receives your data because there is no server.
Information you enter into the App. Information you log inside FlowSense — including period start dates, cycle history, notes, and your optional PIN — is stored only in the local storage on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage (iOS shared preferences). This data never leaves your device. We cannot see it, recover it, or restore it.
Notifications. FlowSense may send you local notifications (for example, predicted period reminders) directly from your device. These notifications are generated on your device and are not sent through any external server. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → FlowSense.
Children. FlowSense is rated 9+ and is not directed at children under 13. The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Your rights and control. Because all data is stored on your device, you control it completely. To delete all your data, simply delete the App from your device, or use the in-app reset option in Settings if available. There is no account to close because there are no accounts.
Backups. If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your iPhone, iOS may include FlowSense's local data as part of your encrypted iCloud Backup. This is controlled entirely by Apple under your iCloud account. We have no access to those backups. To exclude FlowSense data from iCloud Backup, go to iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Backups → and toggle FlowSense off.
Changes to this policy. If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL where you are reading this, with an updated effective date.
